Individual Therapy

Big “T” traumas (childhood abuse, sexual abuse, etc.) and little “t” traumas (chronic cycles of invalidation, emotional neglect, etc.), experienced as a single incident or several prolonged traumatic events over time, can result in a range of psychological symptoms and effects even long after the exposure to the trauma(s). Trauma can leave us feeling helpless, hopeless, emotionally overwhelmed, stuck, and disconnected, and it changes the way we view ourselves, others, and the world. The only way out is through. Together, we can acknowledge, sit with, process, embrace, and grieve to find the freedom and healing you’re looking for. As your therapist, I am committed to being attuned to you through compassion and authenticity.

Seeking therapy can be an incredibly vulnerable and brave task. I honor your process and journey, and I offer a 20-minute consultation call at no charge to help you determine if you would like to work with me. This will give you a sense of what therapy would be like if we were to work together, and this will be a good opportunity for me to answer any questions you may have. If it seems like a good fit, we can then move forward and schedule an appointment.

“We are never so vulnerable as when we love.”

Relationships can be difficult. We are often most vulnerable in our romantic relationships, and I can offer support to the both of you. I can help you and your partner better understand yourselves in your relationship, improve communication skills and the ability to express your needs, develop a deeper connection, rebuild trust, and learn how to repair. Whether you are dating, considering marriage, married, parenting, or navigating different life issues or transitions, let this be a safe space for you to come together.

Psychological Assessment

Psychological assessment is a structured, formal process that can provide insight into an individual’s unique strengths and difficulties. Through assessment, we can take a look at your cognitive, personality, and emotional functioning. Cognitive functioning abilities include learning, thinking, reasoning, remembering, problem-solving, decision making, and attention. Assessment is also often used to provide diagnostic clarification (ADHD, ASD) or differential diagnosis and to assist in treatment.

I practice assessment and testing from a collaborative assessment model. In a confidential and comfortable environment, individuals and families begin with a thorough interview process to assess and identify specific goals and questions to be answered. A testing battery (research-based tests) is individualized for each client and the goals of the assessment. The time frame for most evaluations is between 4-8 weeks. At the conclusion of the evaluation, a feedback session will be held to answer questions on how one’s mind works. Specific, practical recommendations and a comprehensive, written report will be provided for school, work, medical, and/or mental health treatment.

Rates: $1,000-$3,500

*A psychological assessment is a worthwhile investment. The cost will vary depending on the extent of testing, but most range between $1,000-$3,500.

For psychological assessment, some insurance plans may cover part of the assessment cost, so please contact your insurance company to verify benefits and for pre-approval. I can provide you with a receipt for the service provided, so that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
